The DS01 holds two separate drug components — a liquid and a freeze-dried solid — in a single dual-chamber cartridge. The patient rotates the dose ring to bring them together, mixing them in-line. The drug remains freeze-dried until this moment, so the shelf life of the formulation is extended and the closed system minimizes contamination. After mixing and priming, a single press delivers the full dose.
